Golf in Belek

Have you already heard that there is a truly golfers paradise in Turkey? It is only a 30 minutes drive from the Antalya International Airport. This wonderful golf destination is called Belek. Territories of more than 10 golf clubs and around 40 5-star hotels and golf resorts are spread along the mediterranean sea.

Golf first came to the region in November 1994, when "National Golf Club" was opened. In September 1997 the next course was opened in Belek, called Gloria. Designed by Frenchman Michel Gaydon, Gloria Golf Resort is now a 45-hole golf facility. Tat International, a 27-hole layout, also dates back to September 1997. Nowadays there are many more golf courses in Belek: Nobilis GC, Antalya GC, Cornelia GC designed by Nick Faldo, Kaya GC, Lykia Links, Sueno Resort.

Our Papillon Golf Academy is situated in the newly opened (September, 2008) The Montgomerie - Papillon Golf Club, this fantastic golf course was designed by the famous Colin Montgomerie.

Perfect climate makes Belek a great place to play golf all year round. Another fact that makes Belek so attractive to many golfers is short distances between different hotels and golf clubs. The road from one place to another will never take more than 15 minutes. Moreover, most of the hotels and golf clubs have a shuttle bus service. So, all the golf facilities of Belek are easily accessible. As a result to all these great factors, Turkey has been awarded "Best Golf Destination of the year - Europe 2008" by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).
