Opening of Viipurin Golf Academy on the 17th of July, 2009!
02-07-2009The construction of the water driving range in Kahilanniemi golf course in Lappeenranta (Finland) is about to be finished. In a few days the second golf academy by "Golden Swing" will be open.
Even if the short game area is going to be open only in Autumn 2009, golfers can already see the perfectly shaped putting green and a pitching green of over 1000 sq.m. with 2 bunkers and small hills next to the green to practice shots from difficult lies. A pot bunker with a steep wall of 1.5 meter-high is probably the toughest bunker in Finland, perfect for professionals and low-handicappers.
The new water driving range will have both covered and open bays, also there will be a possibility to hit balls from artificial grass tees. Target greens on the water will make practicing on the range even more interesting and beneficial for your game. Our teaching room will be equipped with all needed technology to offer the most comprehensive golf instruction to our clients of Viipurin Golf Academy. The official opening is scheduled for the 17th of July. Everybody is welcome to visit our new driving range on this day. The use of range balls on the 17th will be free of charge. Cocktail party at the clubhouse of Kahilanniemi will start at 17:00.
