Ryan Parfett `inside the ropes` at the Open Championship

Golden Swing Head Professional Ryan Parfett was in attendance at The British Open at Royal St Georges in Sandwich, Kent, he was there for a number of roles and reasons, not only as a coach but also to catch up on the industry technology and trends.

First Ryan spent time on the putting green with Harold Swash Putting School Director Phil Kenyon & Yes Putters tour representative Bart van der Wind. Ryan was in attendance whilst Phil worked with this year`s Champion Darren Clarke and players such as Thomas Bjorn, Joost Luiten & Danny Willet, it is no coincidence that you`ll see them at the top end of the leader board.

 On a number of occasions Ryan spent time in the Ping Tour support van with experts Dominic & Steve who the Ping players will visit regularly to fine tune their equipment. On the Tuesday Ryan had a surprise visit while talking to Ping player Angel Cabrera when John Solheim CEO of Ping & son of Karsten the founder popped in from Arizona to say hello!

 On the Range Malcolm Mackenzie of Flightscope was present with 5 machines measuring data for many players working out optimum club and ball data for the difficult conditions expected this week. “Spending a few hours out here with these guys is priceless to understand the accuracy and importance of the information gained by the EDH Flightscope.

 These guys need to know the truth and confirm the club fitting they do is perfect for them. I thought I knew a lot about club fitting and I definitely learnt some new things this week!” said Ryan.
